Women

Welcome! Whether you're new to CrossPoint or have been around for a while we hope you will find a connecting place somewhere in Women's Connections. We offer many ways for you to grow in your dependence on Jesus Christ and to understand Scripture on a more meaningful level. Here you'll find study environments and prayer groups where you are free to be relational with other women and build friendships that last. Every woman, regardless of age, needs friends to lean on, grow with, learn from, laugh with and pray with.

Check the list on the left for some of our upcoming events.

Bible Studies

Women’s Connections offers a selection of Bible studies throughout the week at various times and locations around the CrossPoint campus. These studies generally get underway in September, break for the Christmas season and start up again from January through May.

Note: Those Bible studies held on Tuesday mornings in the Pavilion also offer childcare to help accommodate moms with young children.

Please check out our Bible study listings to the left and choose one that works well for your schedule.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) and MOMSnext

MOPS stands for "mothers of preschoolers" but don't let that description exclude you! MOPS is a community-wide ministry intending to meet the needs of all young moms, from pregnancy through those with a kindergartener. MOMSnext is a ministry to mothers of school-age childlren. Wanting to be the very best mom possible is what brings us together.

SoulScape

Our fabulous annual Women’s Connection retreat is held on the first weekend in October in a relaxing mountainous location. Don’t miss it! The weekend is designed for you to hang out with your friends, meet new women and be refreshed in your faith through great Bible teaching and receiving a personal message from our Lord away from the distractions of home.

Mark your calendar for October 4-6, 2013 and watch for more information as SoulScape gets closer.

More information on the venue, Old Oak Ranch.

Kindred Hearts Creative Hands

For women of all ages to gather together for a weekend of being creative while working on the craft or hobby of their choice. Making beautiful things, engaging in wonderful conversations, being encouraged through God’s Word, being inspired by the talents of others, and just plain having fun is the goal. Any indoor craft or hobby is appropriate as long as you can transport it!

Three creative events are held every year. Two are at mountain retreats in the spring and fall, one is on our campus in the winter. Choose the ones that fit your schedule and budget.

Mentors for Women

Every woman is on a personal journey, and sometimes we just need to voyage awhile with a supportive woman beside us. If you would like someone to connect with on a regular basis, we can assist you in developing a relationship with a woman mentor. Please contact Melissa at msteckler@cpmodesto.org or 521-0181, ext. 2315

Grandmoms in Touch

This prayer time is for women with grandchildren who desire to pray with focus. These women are prayer warriors who meet weekly, bringing the concerns of their family to God and asking Him to meet the needs. On Mondays that are holidays, we don't meet since the church office is closed.

Upper Room - Women for Corporate Prayer

Do you yearn to grow in your prayer life? Join this group of women who meet once a month to pray together for our nation, for our church leadership and for individual needs. The setting is informal and the 90-minute duration allows for women to include themselves in the prayer for as long or short as their schedule permits. Two monthly prayer sessions are available, one on the second Wednesday morning, and one on the first Thursday evenings.

Bunko!

Twice a year we have a girls night out! It's a great opportunity to have fun - bring a friend or come alone and make new friends.

Deeper Still

This bi-annual one-day inhouse conference is for ALL women who want to deepen their walk with God, be equipped to live out their faith, and connect with other women.

GriefShare

This caring group of women will walk alongside you through one of life’s most difficult experiences. You don’t have to go through the grieving process alone. This group is led by women who understand what you are going through and want to help. You may join this group at any time to help you recover from your loss and look forward to rebuilding your life.
